Tim's Tidbits

Romans chapter 8 versus 28-29 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are the called according to His Purpose.....For whom he did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren"

This would have to be my life scripture. No, not because it mentions the firstborn in relation to Christ, although that is pretty awesome and I can remind my siblings of that! I try and live my life according to the security and confidence this scripture provides. It would be one thing if He used the word "some" or the word "few", but He chose to use the word "ALL".

(ALL) adjective \ˈȯl\

1. the whole, entire, total amount, quantity, or extent of
2. every member or part of
3. the whole number or sum of

When Webster defined the word "ALL", he made sure that in encompassed everything. The total, the whole, every member of, these are ways to describe the noun that follows. In the scripture the noun is "things". "Things" can be defined as, "anything that is or may become  an object of thought." How amazing is that? To me that is what this walk on earth is about. Serving a God whom loved you so much that he had rather die than live without you, even while we were in sin, and then go a step further and say that not one, or two, or three things that you do, but every single thing or "object of thought" will work in conjunction with your life to bring about GOOD. Maybe it is for the eternal good? or maybe for the good here on earth. However it takes place, one thing is for sure, it will benefit you for your good. I love this because life is tough. It grows tougher as we continue. There are many times I doubt, get angry, fall away and become discouraged. Usually it is in these times that satan comes around knocking on my hearts door. I know its him because he always says the same old lies. "You've done it this time boy" "Who cares you never really had anything anyway" or "See, look what happened. I told you. I told you they would do that to you and God wouldnt help you". There are countless lies that come and go. Some I cast out immediately and some it may take a little bit longer... But one thing remains, I know that in that trial, or in that test, no matter how dark, the Father has already said EVERYTHING will absolutely work together for good. To take it a step further, I believe it is paradoxical when you really start to think about the word "all", written next to the word"things", I believe His grace allows that to mean even your worse mistake. The one that you deliberately did, the one that you willingly walked into, that one that makes you shutter to think about, and the one that gave satan just a little more ammunition, will still somehow, someway, in time work out for your good. I can only imagine that it will be good because it will bring you a little higher up, a little closer to The One that has your footsteps ordered. Does it hurt Him when we fall? I truly believe He sees the cross and remembers the pain. But then grace steps in and says it's ok my love, I'll use that as a way to bring you closer to the one your running from. Amazing isnt it?

Yep, I thought so myself...God Bless you and may you always know it will work out.
